Many people listen to the weather report on the radio before they head out the door in the morning so they can be prepared for the day to come.

"Makemake is in the class of rare Pluto-like objects, so finding a companion is important. The discovery of the moon has given us an opportunity to study Makemake in far greater detail than we ever would have been able to without the companion," Dr. Parker continued to explain.

Were you aware of the fact that the moon has a huge impact on fishing? I used to find this hard to believe, but it's true. And you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand how the moon and fishing fit together. As a matter of fact, by spending about a half an hour educating yourself can pay huge dividends in not only the amount of fish that you catch, but also the size of those fish. All because of the moon, who would have thought?

Cassini wasn't originally designed to spot signs of life in the Enceladus plume. In fact, planetary scientists didn't even know that the plume existed until after the spacecraft reached Saturn.

Indeed, the mixture of nitrogen and methane that whirl around in Titan's swirling thick golden-orange atmosphere create a variety of organic compounds. It has been suggested that the heaviest materials float down to the surface of this hydrocarbon-slashed moon. When these organic compounds tumble down into Titan's lakes and seas--either by raining down from the clouds in alien showers of hydrocarbons, or by traveling along with Titan's strange rivers--some are dissolved in the liquid methane. The compounds that manage to survive this ordeal, and do not dissolve (such as nitrites and benzene), float down to the alien sea floors of this oddball moon-world.
